The first evidence of cloth being made was as early as
7000-8000 B.C. Primitive weavers
used what nature provided for a loom - sticks, tree
limbs, rocks. Animal and plant fibers
were used for weaving blankets and fabrics. Although my
loom is more sophisticated than
primitive mans', it still accomplishes the same
thing-the interlacing of 2 sets of threads.
The fundamental aspects of weaving have remained
unchanged throughout history.
There is great comfort and humility in being part of
this time-honored process.
